SALINE INFUSION SONOGRAPHY

SALINE INFUSION SONOGRAPHY (FOG- WATER ULTRASOUND)

It is an ultrasound procedure to evaluate the inner cavity of the uterus.

It is done after the period.

As in the HSG procedure, a catheter is inserted into the uterus, then fluid is introduced through the catheter while performing a vaginal ultrasound, and it is seen that the uterine cavity is filled with fluid and swollen.

With this examination, polyps in the uterine cavity, submucous fibroids and fibroids pressing on the endometrium can be seen.
